1948 Marx, Sparkling Tractor-Trailer Set in Original Box
Incredible clockwork tin litho tractor and trailer embossed metal set. Never used in near mint condition complete with original box and instructions. Rubber treads have never been placed onto the wheels. Comes with separate aluminum road scraper and tin litho driver. Lime green, red, black, and white heavy duty tractor features embossed side pipes, plastic spark emitting exhaust, on/off lever, plastic wheels with silvered painted centers, metal hitch, and detachable road scraper. Long rectangular lime green, black and white trailer is marked "Marbrook Farms". It has four solid rubber treaded tires. The front pair are movable. It has a long metal loop which fits over the tractor hitch. The box is awesome. Bright yellow and red printed on white. Connected tractor and trailer shown on two panels. Distant farm and fields on the other two. Endflaps are also illustrated with a small drawing of the tractor from the backside. It comes with the original schematic instructions for assembling the plow plus both original inserts. Size: Tractor 8½", Trailer 8½". Total connected length plus scraper 22". Sold: Mar. 2006
